WHAT IS LOCK BUMPING ?
It is a simple way of opening a lock with a key. A key is inserted into your lock and tapped a few times with an object to make the lock open.

Is lock bumping an easy way to get in?
YES!

It is extremely simple as it requires very little tuition or practise. It is quick to master and minimal equipment required. Anyone can do it.

If my lock at home or work is opened by bumping, will I be covered by my Insurance against any loss?

Normally if there is proof of a forced entry, which must be evident, such as a broken window etc you are normally covered. Most policies do not cover mysterious disappearance of items without an obvious means of entry.

With lock bumping, there is no or very little evidence of forced entry.

How easy is it for criminals to get bump keys?

The keys can be easily obtained off the internet to anyone.

Can I prevent lock bumping to my property or office?

YES!
